Brown-Forman tops estimates and raises forecast
Brown-Forman Corp (BFb.N), the maker of Jack Daniel’s whiskey, posted a stronger-than-expected 30 percent increase in quarterly profit helped by strong emerging market demand, and raised its full-year outlook, sending shares up 6 percent.

Boston Beer Co., brewer of the Samuel Adams beers, reported higher sales for the fourth quarter and all of 2010, although its stock was punished — the stock prices dropped 11% in after hours trading Tuesday — because it did not meet Wall Street’s expectations.

China Stocks May See Consolidation On Monday
The China stock market on Friday halted the two-day slide in which it had retreated more than 15 points or 0.5 percent. The Shanghai Composite Index settled just above the 2,940-point plateau, although now traders are bracing for renewed selling pressure when the market kicks off trade on Monday.
