		<description>I personally wouldn&#039;t pick stocks but ETFs, which stands for Exchange Traded Funds.  They work like mutual funds, but are traded regularly like stocks.  ETFs are a group of companies which spreads the risk out.  If you are going to invest stock and have a grand a week, I would say invest half of that into long term stocks that are known companies like Walmart, IBM, MSN, Coke-Cola, Pepsi and so forth.  Then the other half of the money go for riskier stocks.</description>
